With a cell phone, a fax machine, pager and a pad of paper on the dining room table, Jody, Founder and President of The Bargains Group Ltd. set out with innovation, skill and tenacity to build her business. From a cash investment of $1,000, The Bargains Group Ltd. is now a multi-million dollar business.

Initially, Jody's vision for The Bargains Group Ltd., was to fulfill her dream in the clothing industry: to supply quality merchandise at the lowest prices to customers who wanted to build long-term relationships. Based on supply and demand, The Bargains Group Ltd. procures clearance wholesale clothing for customers across Canada.

Relying on a complex and extensive network of suppliers and contacts, it is rare that Jody cannot find the product and meet the needs of her clients. Many times she steps out of the box and procures items for the people that are not included in her standard product mix. Jody has built her business successfully, growing from a one-woman operation to employing just under 20 people and growing in just 17 years. During this time she has successfully balanced marriage and motherhood.

Her strong team, loyal customer base and trustworthy suppliers have all contributed to her success.
