On Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 11 a.m., at 890 Caledonia Road, officers from the 13 Division Community Response Unit will join Project Winter Survival, a volunteer−based organization that provides winter survival kits for the homeless.
Winter can be a struggle for many people, especially for those without an income or a home.
From warm clothing to basic hygiene, thousands of people are in need of essential supplies to survive a long, cold winter on city streets.
The annual kick−off event will see the unveiling of a special mural called, “We Are Visible.”
Two Toronto graffiti artists, Kedre Browne and Jessey Phade Pacho, created the mural to raise awareness for homelessness.
For more information, please contact Lorne Simon at 416−785−5037 or 416−560−6441.
Constable Wendy Drummond, Corporate Communications, for Sergeant Jim Brown, 13 Division.
