Volunteers lined the parking lot of The Bargains Group in Toronto on July 7th, in support of Project Water’s 10th annual relief effort to combat dehydration among the homeless and less fortunate during the warm summer months. Over 175,000 bottles of water, compliments of long time sponsor Nestle Waters Canada, were loaded onto the vehicles of relief organizations and homeless shelters for distribution to those in need all across the GTA. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Jody Steinhauer, President of The Bargains Group and founder of Project Water, the program has placed in excess of 1 million bottles of water to date into the hands of Toronto and surrounding area homeless. Plans are currently underway to expand this life saving project to major centres all across Canada.
