Super Sales for the Outdoor Season

TORONTO – Well I’m back from my fabulous Mexican adventures where my niece Cristina tied the knot with her beloved Antonio in a picture-perfect setting at the Azul Sensatori resort in the Mayan Riviera. The upside? It was a beautiful celebration on the beach. The downside? A recent storm meant we could not go near the beach — but the pools were amazing, and the food incredible. All in all, a lovely event.

Reading material for the flight included Fifty Shades of Grey by author E.L. James. The truth? A snorfest. I found it overwrought and ridiculously over-dramatic. I FELL ASLEEP reading it. Good grief, doesn’t anyone remember The Story of O? Now THAT’S a read! What I did enjoy immensely — and urge anyone looking for something to really get their chompers into — is $#*! My Dad Says by Justin Halpern. Yes, it’s been around a while, based on a Twitter feed that took off like a rocket, but I bought the book before getting on the flight home and finished it by the time we landed. As the book cover says, it’s ridiculously hilarious and a real slice of life, the life of Justin and his dad, Samuel, who knows how to speak his mind. I loved this book and can’t wait to get my hands on Halpern’s new read, I Suck At Girls. Until then — check out the following sales:
